National Creativity Day is celebrated annually on May 30. This day was created to inspire people to express themselves creatively in any form – whether through art, writing, music, technology, cooking, or any other direction.

History of the holiday
The holiday was established in 2018 by Hal Croasmun and ScreenwritingU to support writers, artists, designers, and all creative individuals. The goal is to remind people that everyone has creative potential worth developing.

Why do we need this day?
National Creativity Day helps to:

* Encourage self-expression and unconventional thinking
* Reduce stress and develop emotional intelligence
* Expand the boundaries of thinking
* Support and inspire creative professions
* Create innovations in all areas – from science to business

How to celebrate this day
Here are some ideas for celebrating:

* Draw something, even if you’re not an artist
* Write a story, poem, or song
* Photograph the world from an unusual angle
* Invent and cook a new dish
* Start a creative project: blog, podcast, comic
* Visit an exhibition, concert, or workshop
* Share your creations on social media and inspire others

Creativity in everyday life
Creativity is not just art. It is the ability to solve problems, find new approaches at work, interact with others, learn, and change. Even everyday tasks can be approached creatively.
